Although embroidered with U.E.F.A. Cup Final, 1981, the above jersey was in fact produced as a sample for the new club kit to be worn at the start of season 1981-82. This period, just prior to sponsors' names being allowed on jerseys, was only used for about six weeks at the start of season 1981-82. The above jersey was worn by Alan Brazil sometime during this period.
