The three panels are very similar to paintings commissioned by Col. Thomas Holbein Hendley in Jaipur, some of which were published contemporaneously in the Journal of Indian Art and Industry. They were thus popularised and reproduced in some quantity for the Anglo-Indian market. The majority of the Hendley collection is now in the Victoria and Albert Museum.
