A PAIR OF LOUIS XVI GILTWOOD MARQUISES
Circa 1780, each stamped G. Jacob once and B.C. four times
Each with a stiff-leaf and beaded rectangular upholstered back, with padded arms with guilloche carved scrolled terminals leading to acanthus-decorated supports on fluted blocks, with a loose cushion to the seat, upholstered in a pale blue silk damask, raised on rosette capped stop-fluted turned tapering legs, regilt (2)
