For only the third time in their history Manchester United won the 1962-63 F.A.Cup final at Wembley by defeating Leicester City 3-1. In front of a capacity crowd of 100,000, Denis Law and David Herd put United 2-0 ahead after 57 minutes. Ken Keyworth gave Leicester City a lifeline by scoring in 80 minutes. However, Herd scored United's third and decisive goal five minutes later. Noel Cantwell was Captain for United in the above final.
