In their letter dated 23rd August 1990 the National Maritime Museum described this as a paper knife that would have been taken onboard Terra Nova in which Captain Robert Falcon Scott led his 1910 South Polar expedition. The National Maritime Museum has on loan a spoon bearing an identical engraved emblem
