A "MARGARET STRONG" CARAMEL COLORED STEIFF BEAR - PROTOTYPE
This 16 1/2 inch Teddy bear prototype is covered in caramel colored mohair and features swivel head, articulated limbs, black large glass eyes, elongated arms, hump, beige colored felt pads, black stitched nose, mouth and claws. Bear contains mechanism for "growling voice" when tilted. Button and tag in ear. Hand made under supervisor Jorg Junginger, Steiff's Design Director. Late 1980's, Steiff never produced this designer bear.
