The watercolour comes from the same collection as the drawings by W.R. Lethaby sold in these Rooms on 19 December 1989, lots 83-91, and 29 October 1991, lots 39-43. Lethaby and Rooke moved in the same Arts and Crafts circles, Lethaby, for instance, joining the Art Workers' Guild in 1884 and Rooke in 1888
