A Biedermeier satin birch secretaire, the raised superstructure with pierced gallery above central mirrored door flanked by bone half column uprights and arched recesses with Neo-Classical maiden in bone, the hinged fall enclosing a fitted interior with central arched recess and four drawers either side, above a baize lined slide, with two drawers below, on later shaped bracket feet, first quarter 19th century, probably Baltic region - 40in. (102cm.) wide, 20½in. (52cm.) deep, 75in. (111cm.) high
