The accompanying letter states that the author ..had the notion of setting the adaptation in the original boat on the river where Rev. Dodgson had first told Alice the story. The boat would contain Alice, Carroll and Disney, who would provide the linking material between the scenes for adaptation. Disney agreed to this idea and quite happily read the lines I assigned to him. The rest of the cast were drawn from the BBC Radio Repertory...The broadcast was live..and no record of it exists, beyond a recording of some of the incidental music...,1.p.
