'Nel trattato de' projettili il Torricelli dimostra pel primo l'elegante proprietà che tutte le parabole descritte da' projetti lanciati da uno stesso punto, colla stessa forza, ma sotto angoli diversi, sono racchiuse da una nuova parabola tangente alle medesime' (Riccardi).
