A 19th Century gold Queen's brooch, the reverse stamped "West and Son", in gilt stamped fitted case.
The silver-gilt Irish ring brooch of circa 800 A.D. was known as the Queen's brooch because a copy was presented to Queen Victoria, the original was found in Co Cavan and is now in the National Museum of Ireland, Dublin. Copies were exhibited by West and Son at the Great Exhibition of 1851.
