Regent Street, London, Looking North

It was formerly thought that George Sidney Shepherd was the son of George Shepherd, but it has now been established that they are the same person. Shepherd was particularly known for his topographical subjects, especially of London, of which this is a fine and large example. It shows Old Regent Street with the Hanover Chapel on the left.
