A LARGE ATTIC RED-FIGURE KYLIX, with the 'epoiesen' inscription of Pamphaios,
Tondo: a draped maenad moving to the right, her hair bound in a fillet, holding 'clappers' in her outstretched hands, bordered by the inscription *AN*AIO* E*OIE*EN ("Panphaios made it")
Side A: the bearded Herakles reclining on the right, holding his club in his left hand and holding out a kantharos in his right hand over a large wine mixing vessel. To the left is a bearded Centaur who dips an oinochoe into the mixing vessel in order to replenish Herakles' empty cup. Behind him, another spirited Centaur brandishing a branch in his right hand. A spreading tree in the field, from which hangs a wineskin(?) and a hare
Side B: four Centaurs running to the right, two holding wineskins and a third holding a three-pronged branch, two hares and a fox in the field
Repaired, with remains of old rivet repair in the tondo
circa 510 B.C.
