As an infrequent (through supply rather than demand) visitor to the auction market, it is a rare event to be able to offer so wide a range of both red and white, and, in the evening sale, the last vintage of the 'liquoreux' sweet wine produced (1955).
Chateau Rayas is produced by the Reynaud family - M. Louis until his death in 1978, subsequently by his son Jacques. It is made from 100 Grenache from old vines with tiny yields. Vinification is traditional, with no use of new oak and no filtration unless necessary
