TWO BLANC-DE-CHINE FIGURES OF GUANYIN SEATED ON A LION, each Goddess barefoot with one hand raised variously in vitarka mudra or holding a stem, one also holding a small vase, modelled with a serene expression and wearing loose robes, the Buddhistic lion recumbent and looking back towards Guanyin, the back with an impressed four-character fishermen's seal mark, pu ji yu ren, 'virtue extends to all, even fishermen' (ribbon and extremity chip), circa 1775-1825
