A SOUTH ITALIAN TWO-HANDLED DRUG-JAR, the oviform body with two strap handles attached to the short cylindrical neck and everted rim, painted in blue, yellow, ochre and umber with a bishop, perhaps St. Anthony Abbot, standing before a crowned boar flanked by the initials ·S· ·L· within a scrolling foliage and flowerhead arched cartouche above a blank label and a hole for a spout (slight rim chips), early 18th century, perhaps Cerrito-Sanita, 35cm. high; and a cylindrical waisted albarello similarly decorated, the label named for :SY:DEPOMIS: in blue (cracked across label and into base, rim chips), early 18th century, 34.5cm. high (2)
