it is likely that C.Thomas was a descendant of John Thomas who was a Truro cabinet-maker from 1805 until circa 1822. He advertised a 'Fashionable Upholstery and Cabinet Warehouse' at 8 Lemon Street (see: C.Gilbert and G.Beard eds., The Dictionary of English Furniture-Makers, Leeds, 1986, p.882.)
