FIRST EDITION AND VERY RARE. The first 75 pp. consist of a dissertation on the need for Christendom to defend itself against the encroaching Ottoman Empire. The second illustrated part contains 13 chapters with a folding engraved plate each, providing step-by-step instruction for the fully armoured knight in the art of single combat. An edition in French (with the same imprint) was published in the same year.
