Acier, standing among billowing clouds and pouring a jug of water to douse two flaming hearts nestling among a circlet of roses on a fluted column, on a shaped triangular base inscribed in black on a pink cartouche (top of arrow broken off and associated restorations, one wing restored, the other chipped, chips to leaves and to one heart), Pressnummer 144, incised F. 14., painted number 38; and a figure of a putto emblematic of day, supported on the pink drapery he wears and on a gold dome, holding roses and a torch, beside a sunflower, wheatears and a bird, on a waisted circular base moulded with gilt shells (torch restored, chips to roses), indistinct Pressnummer, incised M 105, painted number 61, both with blue crossed swords mark, circa 1880
