Oval, the body pierced and chased to simulate basketwork and with two detachable silver-gilt handles chased with fruit, flowers and scrolls, the centre chased with the figure of a man in a pastoral landscape by ruins, marked on the rim, the reverse engraved with number and scratchweight 'No 173. 52.3'
