Prince Louis (1682-1712), son of Louis, Grand Dauphin of France , married his 2nd cousin Marie Adéläde (1685-1712), eldest daughter of Vittorio Amedeo II, Duke of Savoy, later King of Sicily and then of Sardinia, by contract at Turin in 1696 and in person at Versailles in 1697. His son succeeded his great-grandfather as King Louis XV of France
