Henry Pierce Bone married Ann Maria Long of St. James's, Clerkenwell at St. Mary-le-bone 14 October 1805. They had four sons and four daughters Maria Martha, Emily Elizabeth, Louisa Frances baptised September 1817) and Elizabeth
A similar pair of miniatures were painted for his daughter Elizabeth in July 1847 and May 1849 (cf. Foskett, D., A Dictionary of British Artists, London, 1972, vol. 1, p. 172, vol. II, pl. 22, nos. 70, 71) were sold in these rooms 9 November, 1965, lot 72. Another pair painted for his daughter Maria were sold 31 March, 1981, lot 72
