This view shows the South and East sides of the Square, with the spire of Saint Martin-in-the-Fields beyond. The equestrian statue of King George I by Burchard of 1716 was originally at Cannons. The land was sold in 1808 by the Tulk family to a dentist, by which time the gardens and the statue had begun to deteriorate.
