The pierced-galleried circular grey marble tilt-top surmounted by a smaller upper tier with similar gallery, above a turned fluted column with stiff-leaf ring and spreading hexagonal shaft, the scrolled, downswept tripod base mounted with acanthus leaves and rosettes and inlaid with lozenges, on scroll feet, altered, the later base bearing the stamp J. CANABAS and JME on the underside
