Marmaduke Overend (buried 25 June 1790) was organist at Isleworth from 1760 until his death. A pupil of William Boyce, he wrote and lectured on the science of music. He compiled a dictionary of musical terms which, like most of his compositions, remained unpublished. Overend's manuscript treatises are now in the Bodleian Library
