A DUTCH DELFT ANGEL OF THE LAST JUDGMENT, (Bazuinengel) painted in colours and naturalistically modelled in relief, its curly hair yellow, its fluffy cheeks with orange dots, its left arm with closed fist, its right arm towards its mouth, wearing: a scale-patterned coat of mail, a flowing garment, standing with one foot on a blue marbled terrestrial globe, on very large bevelled square pedestal base applied with green acanthus leaves to the corners, with further lappet- and diaperwork decoration, its back pierced with two holes (the hand towards its mouth restored, glaze repair above its left eye, repair around pierced holes) marked ii and G above 2 probably for Johannes Gaal, first quarter 18th Century
