Shaped-circular and on four scroll feet, with shell, scroll, rosette and guilloche border, engraved with a band scrolls and foliage on a hatched ground the centre with two coats-of-arms acollé and presentation inscription, marked on reverse and stamped 'R & S GARRARD PANTON ST LONDON' - 22¾in. (58cm.) diam.

The inscription reads 'PRESENTED TO THE EARL AND COUNTESS OF BRECKNOCK ON THEIR MARRIAGE BY THE TENANTS OF THE BAYHAM ESTATE 12TH JULY 1866'
The arms are those of Pratt quartering others acollé with Spencer quartering Churchill for John Charles, Earl of Brecknock, later 3rd Marquess Camden (1840-1872) and his wife Lady Clementine Augusta (d.1886), daughter of George, 6th Duke of Marlborough (1793-1857), whom he married on 12 July 1866. On his father's death, less than a month after the marriage, he became 3rd Marquess Camden
