A SILK WEFTED KASHKULI QASHQAI RUG, the tomato-red field scattered with floral boteh, stylised flowerheads, animal figures and birds around a central column of four ivory, pistachio-green and fox-brown serrated lozenges each containing a central panel issuing stylised flowerheads, part palmettes and polychrome panels, linked by smaller flowerhead panels, the moss-green linked spandrels with boteh and floral motifs, in an ivory angular vine and flowerhead border between fox-brown angular flowerhead vine and barber-pole stripes, chequered panel stripes at each end (selvedges rewoven, slight loss at one end)
