gouache on paper, showing: the late Haji Sa'id Muhammad Baqir, pride of the 'Ulema' and of the Martyrs, kneeling on a carpet and wearing a blue coat over a white tunic and large dark indigo turban; Mirza Abu al-Hasan Khan, a minister in the foreign office, wearing tall red and white turban and floral-pattern coat over a purple tunic; Manoucher Khan, the support of the nation, kneeling on a carpet, wearing a tall black hat and blue robes; and Haji Mirza al-Laspar(?), similarly portrayed as the previous, each identified in red nasta'liq and dated 1240, (negligible spotting, flaking and smudging, light creasing to corners)
