The quinto mark of the arms of Spain, enclosed by the motto of Philip IV, appeared on a significant number of silver articles recovered from the wreck of Nuestra Senora de Atocha, sunk off the Florida Keys in 1622 (see Christie's, New York, Gold and Silver of the Atocha and Santa Margarita, June 14-15, 1988, pp. 31-34)
