Of oval form, on four ball and claw feet issuing from lion masks, the twisting scroll handles with fluting, with gadrooned rim, the domed cover with a similar band of gadrooning and surmounted by an artichoke the side and cover engraved with crests, one within a foliate scroll cartouche, with later plated liner, marked under base and on cover, also engraved with scratch weight--15in.(38cm.) long
