Each of rectangular form, on molded slip-on base, chased with flowers and scrolls forming rocaille cartouches, engraved on one side with a coat-of-arms within a scrolling cartouche and, on the other with a crest, the caddies surmounted by shell finials, the sugar box with bud finial, the caddies with original removable lead linings, all within silver-mounted and ebony casket circa 1780 on four plated paw feet, with shell and scroll top handle and lion's head ring handles, marked under bases and on lids of caddies, the case escutcheon plate struck with lion passant--height of caddies 5 3/4in.(14.5cm.) and length of box 10 3/4in.(27.3cm.)
