Of oblong form, on four palmette feet, the gadrooned rim with scrolled leaves and shells, the field with three circular frames for cut-glass pounce pot, inkpot, and wafer pot, all with silver covers, engraved with a presentation inscription, marked under base, on frames, and covers--11in.(28cm.) long

The inscription reads, "Presented with a purse of Sixty Guineas to Dr Dukes Styrap by his medical friends as a mark of their esteem and in testimony of valued services rendered by him to his profession. 1865 "
