Of typical form, the arms of the cross terminating with ball finials and heavily chased scroll and rocaille decoration, the centre applied with the figure of Christ against a circular plaque chased the sun, moon and landscape, the reverse plaque chased with Cain and Abel on associated tapering cylindrical stem Salamanca, 1759, maker's mark of C. Aillon, assay master Juan Montero, overall height 22 1/2in.(57cm.); together with a modern plated Gothic-style base (45oz.)
