The rectangular crystal body finely etched with a continuous band of laurels and swags, the hinged crystal cover similarly designed, within a border of chased foliage enriched with opalescent pellets, above a wide guilloche enamelled salmon band with further opaque white borders, above a similarly chased and enamelled rim, marked on rims with further London import marks for 1912-3½in. (8.9cm.) wide, in fitted case stamped Hammer Galleries, New York, Palm Beach

The above lot was acquired by present owner's father in 1937 from Hammer Galleries. It is mentioned in an exhibition catalogue Faberge and His Works held at the gallery that year.
