From the Story of Judith and depicting Judith dining with Holofernes at a banqueting table with the inebriated general holding a goblet of wine as he lustily gazes at the ornately garmented heroine, in the foreground a child pours wine from an urn, the border woven with dense fruit and flower garlands alternating with cabochons and shells with lions' masks at the angles, the upper central border inscribed HOLOFERNES EBRIUS A JUDITH CAPITE TRUNCATUR QUA ITA ISRAELEM SERVAT, the lower right selvedge with the Brussels townmark and the weavers' mark H.
