The curved, circular bowl resting on a ring foot enclosing a recessed base painted in underglaze blue in the well with a single auspicious character within a border of the 'Three Friends', pine, plum and bamboo, a narrow single line encircling the band on the rim side, a pair of narrow lines on the interior side, the foot ringed by a single underglaze blue line- 7 3/8 in. (18.8 cm.) diameter, three rim chips, star crack on base, hairline crack through mark in center and at rim
