The large baluster jar resting on a ring foot enclosing a recessed base and with tall, cylindrical neck rising to a flat rim, painted in underglaze blue on either shoulder with two four-claw dragons chasing the 'flaming pearl' amongst clusters of swirling clouds which partially obscure the writhing spines of the dragons, additional puffs of clouds painted at random below and above the dragons, a wide cloud collar ringing the neck and stylized attenuated clouds painted between blue lines on the upright neck, a further blue line encircling the foot- 16 1/2 in.
