Of boat-shaped form, on four splayed multi-scroll supports terminating in tri-part leafy pads, chased with matted and patera panels and applied with swags of laurel, with central oval standard with similar swags and with palmette bud finial, rising to a beaded rim supporting a removable fluted basket pierced with a band of scrolling foliage under a beaded rim, with two swept loop handles, engraved front and back with a crest, marked on base and on basket--length over handles 16 1/2in. (42 cm.)
