In the 18th century Dutch style, of inverted pear-shaped form, on scalloped shaped circular spreading foot with applied acanthus scrolls below a similar band, the body chased with swirling lobes, with similar acanthus scroll rim, with acanthus scroll handle, the hinged domed cover with similar swirls and surmounted by a flower finial, marked under base and cover--3 1/2in. (8.9cm.) high
