The red velvet cover applied with eight corner mounts pierced and chased with baroque foliage and scrolls enclosing winged cherub-heads, and two oval plaques, each enclosed by openwork scrolls, the first depicting the Virgin and Child, the second depicting St. Francis, marked on both oval plaques, enclosing the MISSALE ROMANUM, Venice 1716, overall height--15 1/2in.
