A SENDAI SCHOOL FUCHI KASHIRA
EDO PERIOD (CIRCA 1775)

Each part is of shakudo plate. The fuchi is divided in the center with the upper half in a gold keyfret pattern, and the lower half with a dragon in silver inlay. The reverse has a shakudo nanako ground and gold inlay of a jewel (tama). The kashira has a keyfret pattern in gold inlay and dragons in silver inlay at the top.
