The rectangular, double-tiered box and cover fitted with four interior removable boxes decorated in gold and colored takamaki-e with overlapping chrysanthemum blossoms, in numerous varieties, the leaves highlighted with aogai, the interior boxes decorated with four different flower medallions on a ground of gyobu, the interiors of the small boxes and tiered box nashiji- 4 7/8 x 4 x 3 3/8 in. (12.5 x 10.2 x 8.3 cm.)
