Despite the visual relationship of this Vorschrift to some Mennonite fraktur, the inscription of the Apostle's Creed suggests a Lutheran or Reformed origin rather than Anabaptist (Weiser, p.23). In this regard, the drawing may relate to the work of Johann Adam Eyer, who taught a generation of fraktur artists, both Lutheran, Reformed and Mennonite, and whose stylistic influence is present here. This Voschrift is included in the Bucks County Fraktur Survey.
