LONDON, 1819 AND 1826, MAKER'S MARK OF ROBERT GARRARD II

Each on a spreading circular base raised on four openwork foliate scroll and rocaille feet, with panels of basketweaving surrounded by foliate scrolls and anthemion on a matted ground, rising to a knopped reeded baluster stem with panels of anthemion, the stems formed of naked classical male and female figures, each supporting a putto holding up a spirally reeded baluster shaped socket with paneled flowerheads, each with three foliate scroll branches supporting leaf-form drip pans, acanthus clad baluster sockets and similar removable nozzles, the central baluster standard with elaborate flowers, foliate scrolls and rocaille, engraved on bases and branches with the same crest,fully marked, the stems 1819, the branches 1826--23in.
