Each on shaped hexagonal base, the three feet surmounted by heraldic demi-griffins holding a coat-of-arms in a cartouche, the balusters supporting three-arm branches centering a thistle finial, the entire surface heavily cast with rocaille, marked on bases, branches, wax-pans, sockets, and finials

A pair of virtually identical six-light candelabra by the same, of 1825, was sold by Sotheby's, New York, April 16, 1996, lot 252, while a set of four three-light examples, made for the Sampaio family, is in the Al-Tajir collection.
