A DOUCAI OGEE DISH
DAOGUANG SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD
Painted to the centre of the interior with a full-faced flower-head with overlapping petals, encircled by four peach and four stylised lotus-blossom scrolls, the wide rim decorated with the eight Daoist Emblems, tied to ribboned flowers, the exterior with a foliate scroll bearing fantastic flowers above a ruyi border (faint hairline)--7 7/8in. (20cm.) diam.
