A FINE PAIR OF DOUCAI MARRIAGE BOWLS
QIANLONG SEAL MARKS AND OF THE PERIOD

Each with rounded sides rising steeply, painted to the exterior with three pairs of mandarin ducks in a lotus pond, below a frieze of dragons each chasing a 'flaming pearl' pencilled in underglaze-blue, the centre of the interior with another pair of ducks one in flight above its swimming mate, with a band of lanca characters below the rim --6 1/2in. (16.5cm.) diam. (2)
