ENCIRCLED YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD

The globular body moulded with four raised lobes, finely pencilled in underglazed-blue and enamelled in soft yellow, aubergine, green and shaded iron-red tones with an Indian lotus scroll around the body divided by ruyi-shaped petals flanked by further lotus scrolls to the shoulder and around the base, the tall cylidrical neck with a border of ruyi-heads bellow classic scroll beneath the rim--4in. A vase included in the Exhibtion of Ch'ing Porcelain from The Wah Kwong Collection, Chinese University of Hong Kong, 1973, no. 81; as well as the Exhibition of Ming and Ch'ing Porcealin from the Collection of the T.Y. Chao Family Foundation, Hong Kong Museum of Art, 1978, Catalogue, no. 60, was sold in Hong Kong, 19 May 1987, lot 298 together with a compagnion vase lot 299; a vase from the Edward T.
