The hull of the model is built up in wood lifts and carved to shape. The hull is painted with grey and black topsides with a white waist. The model is rigged with five masts and a full set of wood veneer sails. Other details include anchors, running lights, pin and fife rails, ship's boats, cabin structures, walkways, ship's wheel and numerous other details. Displayed in an oak framed carved case with ancanthus leaf motif. Inset at the inner top of the box is the name "F. Kohlberg" which could possibly be the maker.
